Two years after the earthquake that shook this land, in the difficult process of reconstruction underway, we asked ourselves what the fundamental condition or conditions are for mending a social fabric so deeply torn by the atastrophe.
It is certainly necessary to start from the construction of the spaces but it is also essential to regenerate the relational dynamics between people. The transformation of the ‘home’ into a ‘home’ – made perfectly by the difference in meaning between the English words ‘house’ and ‘home’ – is one of the difficult steps to be implemented.
Interweaving legàmi between individuals and between the individual and places is the only way to bring this land from memory to the future.Stay here. Produce here. Come here. Acting and interacting with the territory is the conditio sine qua non for a village to become not just a set of structures but a “community”.

The project
Each of the artists and artists invited to participate has set up one of the prefabricated units of the Village with fiber and textile art works. Through this site specific intervention an anonymous place of living turns into a space of living.
Since the rebirth of the territories cannot ignore the possibility of people to realize their dreams, the artistic project becomes hope, the hope of a reconstruction made of opportunities, development and social, cultural, productive growth of the whole community-
