Recherche: a continuous and tiring search for rediscovered – and eternal – time for beauty.

“A long time ago I worked with a wonderful and ductile material like the felt, together with wool and felted thirst.

Dirty hands, touching the material, water, silk and above all, wool is not only a physical work but also a slow and long search for something that resembles an idea of beauty, harmony and shape.

The product was very small, with natural colors and insertions in silk tone on tone, soft to the touch and bright to the eye. He remembered me a Mongolian mat – a magnificent mat inside the yurt – especially after decorating it with a double row of two-tone fringes.

This small work of mine has now become a sumptuous carpet made by hand by skilled craftsmen, a fragment of a contemporary yurt that still preserves in itself the continuous search for time found – and shared – in beauty.”

Hand knotted with a Tibetan knot, ton sur ton, this is the contemporary reworking of a carpet with a tribal flavour. It has a double two-tone fringe on all sides of the surface.
